1. Hypersomnia, or excessive sleepiness, is a condition in which a person has trouble staying awake during the day. People who have hypersomnia can fall asleep at any time; for instance, at work or while they are driving. They may also have other sleep-related problems, including a lack of energy and trouble thinking clearly.

3. Jet lag, also called desynchronosis, is a temporary disorder that causes fatigue, insomnia, and other symptoms as a result of air travel across time zones.

4. Snoring, like all other sounds, is caused by vibrations that cause particles in the air to form sound wave. Turbulent airflow can cause the tissues of the nose and throat to vibrate and give rise to snoring.

5. Sleep apnea is a disorder characterized by a reduction or pause of breathing (airflow) during sleep. It is common among adults but rare among children.

6. Sleepwalking is a disorder characterized by walking or other activities while seemingly still asleep.
